History

Waterchem Industries was organized in 1993 as a single proprietorship company. After eight consecutive years of double digit growth rate and an impressive succeeding year to year growth, Waterchem Corporation was formed in 2007 to lay the fundamental corporate structure needed for expansion.

Multinational companies have dominated the water treatment specialty chemicals market in the Phillipines for a long time, This is partly due to the colonial mentality that anything imported is best. The main reason and probably the most logical is the lack of local expertise, formal training and experience of Filipino engineers in this field.

Waterchem was born out of a dream to have a local based expertise that could source out the best, most applicable and most cost-effective water treatment technologies from the global market. Multinationals operating locally do not really manufacture the chemical products they sell but simply blend both imported and locally sourced materials to produce finished products.

With quality products and technical competence in mind, a group of Filipino chemical engineers and chemists contributing over 60 years of combined worldwide experiences in water treatment technology, formed Waterchem. The dream lives on as Waterchem is determined to become one of the leaders if not the “Leader” in water treatment technology supply in the country.
